The Secondary-University transitions team has been also involved in having students use technology to “make” mathematics. Much of our CT (computational thinking) activity has been working with Desmos, so chosen because it is mathematically fairly direct and teachers are familiar with it. Here, a short animation can be shown to the student with the invitation to build it or even to elaborate on it. Simple though these are we have found them to be quite rich, both technically and conceptually.
