Elders Gathering and Knowledge Sharing – March 26th 2021
The Elders of Onigaming came together in preparation for their community event to share knowledge and continue to build on the relationships that began with our Community of Practice. The focus of the conversation was around the revitalization of Anishinaabek star knowledge and how this community knowledge can help to support their students in learning about Mathematics and the Sciences. Also participating at this gathering were the NASA scientists who are part of our COP as well as special guests Wilfred Buck from Opaskwayak Cree Nation and Isaac Murdoch from Serpent River First Nation.
