Update provided by Peter Taylor, Queen’s University
The Math 9-12 curriculum working group is in high gear at Queen’s University.
We are preparing a Grade 11 curriculum that we plan to put into selected classrooms in September. A draft version will be available at the end of June. We have talked about this at a workshop for math and computer science teachers at UofT Mississauga (May 1 2019) and at OAME in Ottawa (May 17 2019).
As a launching point for the school year, we will hold a Grade-11 teachers’ workshop in Ottawa (Aug 27-28). Funding for this is from the Fields Institute and the Canadian Mathematical Society. Organizers are Peter Taylor (Queen’s), Chris Suurtamm (UOttawa), Ann Arden (OCDSB) and Nick Nielsen (TDSB).
Register here for the workshop and spread the word to anyone who might be interested!
